§

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how MCModGen collects, uses, and protects personal and technical information in the current private-beta service. Optional product analytics is separate from essential authentication and service operations.

§

Information We May Collect

  • Account information (such as email address, username, and authentication details)
  • Support requests and service communications
  • Device and browser information, IP address and browser headers used for authentication, plus pageview analytics only when you opt in
  • MCModGen prompt inputs, generated mod outputs, generation history, and related logs
  • Sharing settings and public-listing data, including mod metadata, author name, customer price charged, view count, and download count
  • Validation logs, error logs, performance metrics, and interaction data used to improve reliability and safety
§

How We Use Information

  • Provide and maintain MCModGen features and accounts
  • Manage administrator-granted credits, usage limits, and service communications
  • Improve generation quality, reliability, safety, and abuse detection
  • Analyze pageview usage and site performance when you opt in to analytics
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce service policies
  • Improve generation workflows using sanitized build signatures, aggregate outcomes, and feedback; the shared lesson collection does not store raw prompts, generated source, credentials, or user identity
§

Third-Party Services

MCModGen may rely on the following third-party services for infrastructure and operations:

  • AI generation providers accessed through an OpenAI-compatible API gateway (currently configured to use OpenRouter by default, with requests routed to supported model providers you select)
  • Vercel for website/app hosting, deployment, and edge delivery
  • Google Cloud and Firebase for authentication, API/build execution, database, private artifact storage, and secret management
  • Google Analytics 4 property MCModGen, when you opt in, for privacy-limited pageview measurement

These providers may process data on behalf of MCModGen in accordance with their own policies and contractual obligations.

§

Cookies & Tracking

  • Essential cookies or similar storage for authentication and basic functionality
  • Shared mod pages use a random, anonymous browser-session identifier to avoid counting repeated refreshes as separate views; it is kept in session storage and is not used for advertising
  • Google Analytics is not loaded unless you choose Allow analytics; the consent choice is stored in your browser
  • Opted-in analytics sends only fixed route categories and generic MCModGen page titles; share-link slugs, other dynamic identifiers, URL queries and fragments, prompts, generated mod contents, account identifiers, form values, and authentication data are removed before an analytics event is sent
  • Google Analytics Enhanced Measurement, advertising signals, and ad personalization are disabled, so the MCModGen integration sends only its explicit route pageviews
  • You can reopen Analytics preferences from the site footer, and declining analytics does not disable core functionality
§

Retention, Security, and Rights

  • Account, build, share, and billing records are retained as needed to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, and honor user deletion controls; operational logs may use shorter retention periods
  • MCModGen uses access controls, encryption in transit, managed secret storage, private artifact storage, rate limits, and security monitoring appropriate to the current architecture
  • Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information after identity verification
  • MCModGen is not directed to children under the age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction
§

Data Location, Updates, and Contact

  • Core API, Firestore, and artifact workloads use Google Cloud in the United States; Vercel and AI/model providers may process data through their applicable delivery and inference regions
  • Material policy changes will be posted in the application and reflected in the policy content before they take effect where required
  • Privacy requests can be submitted through the contact details published by MCModGen before public paid access
